Systemic and Family Constellation Workshops

The question is I need to change, but how?

And having glimpsed the possibility of change, how can I accept

the changes that are necessary and so difficult to put into

practice?

And how can I stay changed and not fall back into the old ways?

In answer to these questions, during these workshops we work on many levels including the body, the emotions, the mind and the spirit, re-balancing our systems and re-uniting ourselves with all the parts that have got lost along the way. Constellations help to reveal blockages, resolve difficulties in relationships and support personal development and growth. This work makes it possible to create a new reality, to take charge of one’s life instead of being a victim and to free oneself from the weight of the past. During a constellation we share in a moment of co-creativity – the energy of the knowing field can create an unexpected freedom, strengthening personal resources and encouraging healthier family relationships.

The aim is:

To reveal unconscious blocks hidden in our family systems, our relationships and our professional world.

To harmonise these systems as well as the emotions and energies set free by the work.

To integrate and stabilise new information.

About constellations

Family constellations is a therapeutic practice based on the idea that we all belong to a family system to which all living and dead members of our family belong, as well as anyone who has been involved in its history.Systemic and structural constellations work in the same way but focus on other systems – professional or cultural – for example.

The therapy works with the underlying dynamics of a particular system. For example, if, in the past, a member or members of a family experienced difficulties that they were unable to deal with at the time, those unresolved conflicts could affect following generations who may suffer from physical or psychological difficulties, seemingly insoluble problems, or inexplicable behaviours.

How is a constellation done?

This is a description of the basic structure of a constellation – this structure is very flexible and allows for many variations in the way a constellation will unfold.

Facts and events are important in this work whereas the personality and character of the people making up our systems are not important. Therefore, in order to do a constellation, some research needs to be done to find out whether anyone suffered from or was part of any of the following events, among many others:

• Banished, disinherited, wronged, excluded?
• Early death, before 30, especially of mothers?
• Accidents or acts of fate?
• Serious illness, disability, mental illness?
• Emigration or immigration?
• Drug or alcohol dependence or other addictions?

Then, I discuss with the client the issue they would like to work on and if we are working in a group they choose people to represent members of their system. When I work one-to-one, I use coloured felts to take the place of the representatives. As the constellation unfolds, a solution will emerge which can help to re-balance the system and offer the client a new image of their family or professional systems and their place therein.

Zero Circle

– Jallaludin Rumi

Be helpless, dumbfounded,
Unable to say yes or no.
Then a stretcher will come from grace
To gather us up.

We are too dull-eyed to see that beauty.
If we say we can, we're lying.
If we say No, we don't see it,
That No will behead us
And shut tight our window onto spirit.

So let us rather not be sure of anything,
Beside ourselves, and only that, so
Miraculous beings come running to help.
Crazed, lying in a zero circle, mute,
We shall be saying finally,
With tremendous eloquence, Lead us.
When we have totally surrendered to that beauty,
We shall be mighty kindness.
